Tommy Evans

Tommy is one of Irelands most successful riders having raced throughout the 90’s to early 2000’s winning the majority of Irelands prestigious events, Junior Tour of Ireland, FBD insurance Ras, National Road, Time trial, Track Championships. Tommy Held over 6 national records and currently still holds the Dublin to Belfast record 4hrs 28scs.

He is no stranger to international competition, representing Ireland at World, European level, multiple international victories for Ireland and European teams.

For the last 18 years Tommy has been involved in coaching athletes of all abilities, from grass roots, to Olympic athletes. He has represented Ireland as a coach in all major games and championship events having been to the last four Olympic games, working directly with cycling Ireland and Triathlon Ireland

Success as a coach has been very rewarding with world, European and National Championship winning performances. He also has vast experience working with the club rider who is training on a tight time scale with family and work commitments so is very aware of the challenges that may arise for those entering a Gran Fondo for the first time.
